Ladies y Gents, after a unannounced week off, I’m back to continue to give your tiny ears something to imbibe. We have two playlists to finish off August and to give you a little taste of what’s become available in the year twenty twelve.
I’ve already presented you with a track from The Walkmen’s Heaven, but here’s another one. “The Love You Love” has that same driving sound but this one might be a bit catchier for those who can dig it. We transition to “Yet Again” an single from Grizzly Bear’s forth-coming album. I love their sound and look forward to the growth “Yet Again” shows in their sound.
“Ekki múkk” from Sigur Ros goes into new/familiar territory with their airy, beautiful album Valtari. Sigur Ros has a way to make epic music seem so personal. Here We Go Magic’s song “How Do I Know” from the album A Different Ship, released in May, is what I would call “easy listening.” It goes down easy but gets stuck in the best of ways. Enjoy it in the car, in a bar, at your house, with a mouse. Cheers.
